Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains what Infinitee AI Solutions ("Kabel", "we", "us"), the provider of Kabel, collects, why, and what your choices are. Infinitee AI Solutions is responsible for the personal data described here. To reach us, use Help and feedback in Settings, or the contact details on our website.
What we collect
- Account: name, email address, username and sign in method.
- Social sign in: if you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, the account id that service gives us, plus the name and email address it shares. We never receive your password for those services. Facebook email addresses are confirmed with a code before we treat them as yours.
- Payments: your plan, purchase history and billing currency. Card details are collected and held by our payment processor, Stripe or Apple, not by us.
- Your digital name card: the details you choose to put on it.
- Team Cables and referral cards: the contact details of people you add or share.
- Usage records: the number of cards you hold, your Connections, your monthly card scan count and top-up balance, your subscription, your in-app notifications (kept for 90 days) and push notification tokens.
- Help and feedback: the messages you send us, and the email address you send them from.
- Waitlist: the email address you give us if you join a waitlist.
- Technical data: your IP address and basic request details, used for security, rate limiting and abuse prevention, and kept in our server logs.
- Advertising data (free plan only): see "Ads" below.
What stays on your phone
Your personal Cables are stored encrypted on your device. Our servers hold only an anonymous list of card ids so we can count your cards. Apart from the moment you scan a card (see "Scanning cards"), we cannot read your personal Cables.
Scanning cards
When you scan a physical card, the photo is sent to our servers and on to Google Cloud Vision, which reads the text on it. The text it finds is then sent to an AI provider (Anthropic) so it can be sorted into fields such as name, title and phone number. We process the photo only to read it and do not keep it on our servers. The result is returned to your phone and saved there, encrypted.
Please only scan cards you are entitled to keep.
Permissions the app asks for
You can turn any of these off in your phone settings. The features that need them will stop working, and the rest of the app will not.
- Camera: to scan cards and Kabel QR codes.
- Photos: to upload a card photo you already took.
- Contacts: only so you can save someone's digital name card to your phone's contacts when you choose to. We do not read or upload your address book.
- Notifications: to send reminders, Team activity and account alerts.
- Biometrics (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint): to unlock the app. Your biometric data stays on your device. We only learn whether the check passed.
We do not use your device location. If a card has an address, opening it in maps simply opens your maps app.
Ads
On the free plan, Kabel shows ads provided by Google. Google and its partners may collect device identifiers, your IP address and how you interact with ads, to show and measure ads and prevent fraud. On iPhone, Kabel asks for your permission before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites, and if you say no the app works the same. You can also limit ad personalisation in your phone's settings. Paid plans do not show ads.
How we protect what we store
Contact details in Team Cables, digital namecards and referral cards are encrypted before storage. Backups are encrypted with a key derived from your recovery passphrase, which we never receive. Data is sent over encrypted connections.
How we use it
To run the app, read scanned cards, keep your Teams and follow ups working, send codes and reminders, take payment, answer your messages, show ads on the free plan, and prevent abuse such as repeated free trials.
We use your data because it is needed to provide the service you asked for, because you agreed to it (for example permissions and tracking), because the law requires it (for example payment records), or because we have a legitimate interest in keeping Kabel secure and free of abuse.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it with your Team members and Connections as you direct, and with service providers who process it for us:
- Payment: Stripe and Apple
- Sign in: Google, Apple and Facebook, only when you choose them
- Cloud hosting and card reading: Google
- AI sorting of scanned text: Anthropic
- Ads: Google AdMob (free plan)
- Email and push notifications: our email and notification providers
We may also share data and logs with the authorities for investigation, when the law requires it, when we receive a lawful request, or to protect the safety and rights of our users and Kabel.
Public name cards
If you make your digital name card public, anyone with its link or QR code can see what you put on it, including your photo. Make it private to stop this. Photos are shown through temporary links that expire.
People whose details are shared
If your details were shared in a referral and you do not use Kabel, we may email you once to tell you. The email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove your details at any time.
Where your data goes
Our service providers may process data in other countries, including outside the one you live in. We only use providers who protect data to a standard that is appropriate for the law that applies to you.
How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open, and removed or anonymised when you delete it.
- Notifications: 90 days.
- Scanned card photos: not kept.
- Help and feedback messages and waitlist emails: for as long as we need them to help you or contact you, and then deleted.
- Payment records: for as long as the law requires us to keep them.
- Server logs: for a short period needed for security and debugging.
A one way fingerprint of your sign in identity is kept after deletion, only so a free trial cannot be reused. It cannot be turned back into your email.
Your choices and rights
- Make your name card public or private
- Turn biometric login on or off
- Change or turn off permissions, notifications and ad personalisation in your phone settings
- Delete your account. This removes your profile, Connections, backup, registry and notifications, and anonymises your account record.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you gave. To use any of these rights, contact us as below. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Kabel is not for children under 13, or under 16 where your local law sets that age. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
